NIPPLEMEN INT'L
The NIPPLE ACADEMY
CHAPTER 3
INJURIES--Prevention/Treatment
Since I've heard NIPPLE play sometimes touted as "entirely safe" - I want to share a few of my thoughts on the matter. I don't want in any way to cut down on your great enjoyment centered around the NIPPLE experience!! But, after all my discussions regarding NIPPLE PLEASURE, I would be remiss if I didn't share a few of my views on taking good care of others and yourself..
NUMERO UNO!!!
PROTECT YOUR PARTNER/PARTNERS AND YOURSELF FROM INFECTION!!! As I hope we all realize by this time, there are many dangerous "BUGS" out there waiting for a place to call home!! Certainly, studies show that blood, and to a certain extent - other bodily fluids - allow them to transport their dirty AND SOMETIMES DEADLY LIFESTYLES FROM person to person. BE ON THE ALERT!! Make an added effort to be sure your nipples and/or your partners do not have broken skin. If they do... DO NOT TAKE THE RISK OF POSSIBLY EXPOSING YOUR PARTNER OR YOURSELF to unwanted "germs"!!!! WAIT UNTIL THEY ARE COMPLETELY HEALED AND COMMUNICATE WITH EACH OTHER. Say - "It's/they're out of commission" - - AND KEEP MOUTHS AND FINGERS AWAY FROM THE NIPPLES UNTIL THEY ARE HEALED. IF AN INFECTION PRESENTS ITSELF AND DOESN'T HEAL IN A FEW DAYS.. SEE YOUR DOCTOR!!
INJURIES
I list nipple injuries under two categories - planned and unplanned. And then under each as self-induced or inflicted by another. Certainly, if a creative NIPPLE TORTURE MAN out there drives a nail through a buddy's nipple, one would expect a degree of NIPPLE trauma (and possibly even exquisite pleasure!) On the other hand -( or NIPPLE..as the case may be) .. one may find an unplanned water blister or blood on a nipple after a suction cup is removed. Just so we are aware that injuries can and do pop-up - especially since nipple skin is one of the tenderest areas on the body..
INJURIES - PREVENTION
As far as prevention goes - we're not talking about planned incidents, as prevention would take all the fun out!! It's the unplanned ones we will be able to do something about.
I've found that one of the most prevalent injuries to nipples for NIPPLEMEN is a water blister on the nipple from using suction devices.
Here is a picture of a blister I got a couple weeks ago...
As far as blisters go, they tend to be of the unplanned/self-induced variety of injuries (unless the above NIPPLE TORTURE MAN glues a pair of cups on you for the weekend!) NIPPLEMEN often ask how long to leave the suction devices on .. and I always tell them.. "IT VARIES FROM PERSON TO PERSON" For first-timers, and it's also at that point that the cups are fresh out of the package.. and have the greatest suction ..I suggest NO LONGER THAN 5 MINUTES..to see how your skin reacts to the suction. If everything looks OK .. I suggest a couple 5-minute sessions each day for a couple of weeks. Then increase in 5-minute increments every three or four weeks... In six months - or so - with daily use.. you will probably be seeing a degree of enlargement when the cups come off.. And, as you use the cups and they become more pliable, you will be able to increase the time they are on.. (I'll be giving you some ideas on how to keep you nipples "pumped" after they come out of the devices in the next chapter.)
Another word of caution... DON'T TRY TO GET HUGE NIPPLES ALL AT ONCE AS YOU PREPARE FOR AN "ENCOUNTER" - ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVEN'T USED THE CUPS IN A FEW DAYS. You'll end up with one or both nipples out-of-commission and it won't be fun!!
Yet another nipple "anomaly" of sorts is the clear liquid you may find in your cups after you've used them for awhile. I've found that this can seep out of your nipple without any sign of a blister. I do suggest, that since this is bodily fluid, that you take precautions, especially if another person is with you. Take a minute to wash off your nipple and your cups... and proceed with caution.
INJURIES - TREATMENT
For obvious reasons.. I have to be very careful here.. as I am not a doctor or a nurse... and you should speak to them for professional advice.
I do feel the most important reason for treatment is to keep the wound from becoming infected and/or infecting another person through blood or bodily fluid!! And.. the best treatment is keeping the wound from becoming infected.
Here is a picture of the blister after it broke...
If a water blister breaks, I wash the wound with soapy water.. and apply an antibiotic, such as NEOSPORIN. If the blister hasn't broken, I sterilize a sewing needle (not a pin!!) with the flame from a match.. and puncture the blister to let the fluid drain. I then apply an antibiotic ointment. In two or three days the scab should be formed.. but take it easy for a week or so.. If the wound doesn't heal in a few days.. or shows any sign of infection/inflammation - see a health professional.
You may notice that at times a white, semi-scab will form after nipple activity..I've always looked at this as a sign - like a snake shedding its skin - that the nipple is growing larger!! I use a little Vitamin E from a capsule to rub on it, but you probably have your own skin-softening agent to use. A little dab should do fine!!
**After getting a small water blister on my left nipple yesterday (8/17/98).. I broke the blister and pulled off the loose skin.. I then washed the wound with soap and water, dried it, and then applied a small amount of Vitamin E.. (I broke open a capsule of 400 iu.. which I take daily). And.. today.. one day later...the wound has almost healed.... See if it works for you!!! I had always heard that Vitamin E promotes quick healing... (I also rubbed a little on my foreskin.... but that's another story!!)
INFECTION
As far as infections go, they may well "piggy-back" with the injuries I've just discussed. I've also noticed the "more advanced" the activities are that persons are into, the more aware they are of possible infection, and that they take the necessary precautions to prevent infection.. GREAT!!
In addition, there are a couple other possible transmission activities which come to mind that you might overlook. One possible (granted -probably remote) transmission route is through saliva, passed from person to person by licking/sucking on pecs/nipples that one or more persons have just enjoyed. Another is by using contaminated suction cups. Keep your mind open to others..
INFECTION - PREVENTION
In general, keeping equipment and nipples as clean as possible will cut down on infection. Keep your nipple suction/torture devices clean. I wash my yellow suction cups in a very diluted, detergent/Chlorox solution. I do not recommend sharing cups unless they are cleaned before each person uses them.
As far as saliva goes (and it can go a long way!!), I've read alcohol "get's the job done" - especially straight vodka!! No, I'm not suggesting you walk around with a bottle of vodka, but I believe even the alcohol in beer has some cleansing properties. I sometimes put a swig of beer/wine/scotch in my mouth when I go to wet my NIPPLES and the suction cups before putting them on.
Thanks for sitting through my ''TAKE CARE OF YOUR PARTNER'S AND YOURSELF'' lecture. Use it well!!
I hope some of you will write with your thoughts on these matters.
*************
A good nipple buddy called the other day... He said he had a small lump develop near his left nipple and was quite worried... Last weekend, after a night of heavy nipple play, the lump came to a head.. and he went into the emergency room and had it lanced. The doctor was quite sure that the abscess would recede with the lancing and a dosage of antibiotics.
Several months ago, another buddy had a similar infection occur...and it was also treated with antibiotics....
The reason I mention these incidents is....NOT TO WORRY YOU.. but it would seem that with HEAVY nipple play/torture... lumps can occur... and.. it's important to get to a doctor and get treated!! It may be that with heavy "action" on the pec... that certain lymph glands may become injured and closed.. and that's what causes the abscess/lump... (If there is a medical person out there... I would appreciate your opinion..).. I wanted you to know that this is possible... and ...not to jump to any "dire"conclusions... but..to get to you physician right away!!
ENJOY.....
